The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture. Depicted on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps as circular platform (diam. c. 40m), with field fence N->E shown inside scarp. Circular area (39m NE-SW) raised 0.4m above surrounding ground level. Field clearance material dumped against and on top of scarp WSW->N; topped by stone field fence N->E. Stone field boundary running ENE-WSW crosses S half of interior, with second stone wall extending from it to SSE. Boulders scattered across SW quadrant may be due to field clearance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
