The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on SW-facing slope. Circular area (31m E-W; 30m N-S) defined by earthen bank (H 1.8m). Bank stone-faced to SW; entrance (Wth 3m) to SSW. Interior planted with coniferous trees; mound of rubble in SW quadrant.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
