The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, atop knoll. Roughly circular, raised area (27.6m N-S; 21.6m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m), topped by stone field boundary ESE->W; external fosse (D 0.4m). Approximately 13m beyond inner bank is second earthen bank (H 1m) SSW->N, with shallow external fosse (D 0.3m); scarp S->SSW; destroyed to E due to quarrying. Outer bank stone-faced and incorporated into field fence system SSW->W. Interior slopes gently down to S; souterrain (8889) in N quadrant; cultivation ridges, running N-S, cross interior and area to W between inner and outer bank.
