The National Monuments Service's description

Remains of this tomb were exposed in the course of peat cutting on the upper S slopes of Knockacommeen Mountain. The S and E sides of the roofstone (2.5m x 1.6m; T 0.17m) and part of the S side are exposed in the cutaway bog face. It consists of a chamber (L 1.95; Wth 0.9m at W, narrowing slightly to 0.84m at E), aligned E-W. Both the N and S sides are formed by two slabs and the E end is closed by a backstone (H 0.30m). The roofstone rests on the sidestones, backstone and on a pad-stone on top of the W end of the S side. A possible outer-wall stone is exposed immediately S of the chamber, slightly set back from the W end. A second wedge tomb (CO058-060----) stands c. 700m to the WSW and the remains of a possible third (CO058-075----) are within the forest c. 1.1km to the WSW.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
