The National Monuments Service's description

On N side of laneway, built into slight break in slope. Roughly rectangular kiln (c. 6m N-S; c. 8m E-W; front H 3.8m; rear H 0.6m), partially collapsed. Front elevation (S) has lintelled recess (H 1.75m; Wth 1.5m; D 2.1m), with sloping slabs to rear. Circular funnel (diam. c. 1.5m) almost completely infilled.
