The National Monuments Service's description

Roadside, on N bank of Owennacurra river, just SW of Ballincurrig. Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Complex of buildings survive. Rectangular mill (long axis N-S) on S side; 3-storey, 6-bays; gable ended. Wheel-pit for vertical waterwheel along N gable; now occupied by turbine. Power house attached at N end of W elevation with tall brick chimney. Attached to this is another structure which houses a National Gas and Oil Engine. Interior of mill empty; floors intact. Additions to S. Number of other structures survive including toilets suspended over river's edge to S; substantial store house to N; 2-storey roadside residence to E and a number of modern buildings. Abandoned 1971.
