The National Monuments Service's description

On W-facing slope; fine view across stream valley to SW. Roughly circular area (47m N-S; 52m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1.5m), low to SW and W (H 0.4m), missing to NW; scarp to W (H 1.8m), damaged to SW; traces of fosse to WNW, S, N and perhaps E. Narrow gap in bank to NNW, probably recent; gap (Wth 2.5m) to E, stone faced to S. Interior raised to compensate for slope.
