The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture, on W side of Fiddler's Brook. Monument destroyed sometime prior to 1910. Pieces of pottery found in course of destruction. Early accounts record five-stone circle having internal measurement along main axis, apparently aligned N-S, of c. 3.3m. Orthostats were c. 0.9m to c. 1.8m L and c. 0.75m to c. 0.9m H. According to OS Memoranda for Co. Cork (1933), four of the stones were buried by the landowner in field where they stood; the fifth (CO051-043004-) was removed to the SE corner and used as gate pillar. This stone was shown on 1938 OS 6-inch map, named 'Gallán'; there is now no visible surface trace. A three-stone row (CO051-043003-) stood c. 75m to ENE. (RIA MS 12. W.2, no. 32; O Nualláin 1984a, 33, no. 58; Walsh 1998)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
