The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on edge of sharp drop to Comeenatrush River. Subcircular raised area (40.5m E-W; 38m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 2.1m) NE->NW, with external fosse (D 0.5m); arc formed by steep drop down to river NW->NE. Entrance (Wth 5m) to ENE. Field boundary defines outer edge of fosse. Almost immediately inside defences, central area of interior raised; surface level; souterrain (CO048-006002-) in S half.
