The National Monuments Service's description

In S half of graveyard (CO046-003001-), 1.6km to E of Conna village. Built in 1814/15 following order of 'Privy Council that the site of the parish church of Knockmourn be changed' (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 295); earlier parish church (CO045-03102-) to NW of Conna village. Rectangular nave; two sets of paired windows in both N and S wall. Extremely shallow chancel to E with three grouped lancets forming window; squat tower to W with high hipped roof and prominent base batter. In 1860 a vestry had 'lately been added to the church' (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 296); this probably dates erection of tower. Rectangular graveyard; earliest inscribed headstones date from mid-19th century.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
