The National Monuments Service's description

To N of Aghern settlement; in N half of graveyard (CO045-12001-). C of I church built in 1816 on or near site of ancient parish church of Aghern (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 17). Small rectangular church with embattled and pinnacled 3-storey tower at W end. Church lit by three windows with pointed arches in S wall, switch-line glazing; E window has Y-tracery and similar glazing. Edge of E gable stepped. Plaque over door in W wall of towerinscribed 'AD 1816'.
