The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular raised area (internal diam. 12m E-W; 11.9m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.75m). Bank on N side obscured by heavy overgrowth. On outer bank face to NE is large upright stone (H 0.9m; 0.5m by 0.1m); stone firmly embedded at base but pushed outwards at top due to growth of hawthorn bush behind it.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
