The National Monuments Service's description
On summit of S spur of Bweengduff mountain; standing stone pair (9848) c. 950m to SSW. Site is now under forest. Bowman (1934, 552) records 'stone alignment', aligned E-W, comprising seven stones. Five stones were then prostrate and remainder inclining. Landowner informed him that they had been broken. A group of large slabs now lie on site forming no apparent arrangement.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
