The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered during ploughing in 1974 when fractured roofing slab collapsed. Investigated by Twohig (1976, 24-6), who described single roughly rectangular stone-built chamber (L 4.2m; max. Wth 1m; H 1.4m; long axis N-S) roofed with lintels, seven of which survived in original positions. Walls corbelled; evidence that some stones in walls had been roughly dressed after they had been put in place. Original entrance not found, possibly hidden by spoil from collapse.
