The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on W side of stream. Heavily overgrown, roughly circular mound of burnt material (diam. 14m; H 1.4m). Bowman (1934, 557) noted that 'a stone trough, about 4 feet by 11/2 by 1ft. deep was found here many years ago. The mound, however, appears to have been untouched'. Holy well (14002) c. 30m to SSW.
