The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on SW-facing slope; within ringfort (12716), which in turn is within early ecclesiastical enclosure (13888). Souterrain (13296) 28.5m to NW. No evident surface trace of burials or burial ground. Recorded in OS Field Book of 1839 as 'Killchilling Fort, church of the holly...a small fort, which it is considered was on a burying ground, on account of a good number of human bones having been got in it.' (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 3, 333). Windele recorded 'an old kile, which formed an oblong square, 16 to 20 paces broad, and somewhat longer' (ibid.). He revisited site in 1850 and recorded that burial ground had disappeared and the area was under cultivation (ibid., 333-4).
