The National Monuments Service's description
In tillage, on W-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 28m) on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; circular area (c. 25m N-S) enclosed by low rise (int. H 0.05m; ext. H 0.9m) WNW->SSW; low rise disappears under bank of field clearance stones SSW->WNW. Immediately outside bank of stones is 1.2m drop down to floor of laneway which skirts site to W. Interior slopes down to W; souterrain (CO041-03602-) in SE quadrant. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W387). Probably levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 29yd) recorded by Bowman (1934, 548) on Denis O'Connell's land. Location of standing stone (CO041-165---), recorded by Bowman (ibid., 549) as c. 220yd from this site, is not known.
