The National Monuments Service's description

Depicted as hachured rectangular enclosure (c. 25m E-W; c. 20m N-S) on 1842 OS 6-inch map on which field boundary extends W (L c. 50m) from NW corner of enclosure and turns S at right angle for c. 120m to join mountain stream. In rough pasture, on S-facing slope of stream valley. Overgrown earthen bank (int. H 1.6m; ext. H 1.95m) evident to N and E incorporated into field boundary system. Drainage channel cut outside N bank; old laneway skirts E bank. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 251) as levelled square fort (side c. 27yd) on J. Cremin's land.
