The National Monuments Service's description
On the N side of an E-W field boundary which crosses the interior of a levelled rath (CO039-091----). According to local information, an opening covered with slabs gave access to a lintelled passage (L c. 6m) which sloped down to the N and then curved back to the S. This passage led into a rectangular stone-built chamber (c. 1.2m E-W; c. 1.2m N-S), roofed with lintels. There are no visible remains of this souterrain at ground level.
