The National Monuments Service's description
Within burial ground (14101) and enclosure (13763). No visible surface trace of church. According to Bowman (1934, 305), two whitethorn trees on S side of site were said locally to mark church location; field was known as 'church field'.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
