The National Monuments Service's description
Broker (1937, 44) recorded an 'underground chamber', with an entrance in the centre of the largest of two forts on Tim Buckley's farm. Exact location not known though it may refer to the possible ringfort (8737) which has been levelled.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
