The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on N-facing slope, overlooking Blackwater River valley. Circular area (35.5m E-W; 35m N-S) enclosed by substantial earthen bank (H 4.1m) with partially collapsed stone wall (H 1.6m) built against inner bank face; external fosse (D 0.6m); two outer banks with shallow intervening fosse. Inner face of stone wall remains intact in parts but mainly to SW where it is stepped. Second (int. H 1m) and third (H 0.9m) banks composed of earth and stone; replaced by two substantial dry-stone field boundaries SW->WNW. Causewayed entrance to N. Interior surface uneven; slopes down to N. Remains of oval hut (3.4m x 1.24m) survive against inner face of wall to W, dry-stone walled (max. H 0.98m); traces of inward corbelling at top of wall.
