The National Monuments Service's description
According to Grove White (1905-25, vol. 3, 292), ploughing in a field at Beenaskehy uncovered 'human bones, probably those of the men who fell in the battle', referring to 17th century skirmish between Irish and Cromwellian forces at Bridge of Glanwillan, on Blackwater (ibid., 290). Exact location of site not known.
