This earthwork is referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 4 North Cork' (2000, 547-8) under the entry (no. 14381) for Bridgetown Abbey (CO034-027002-). The reference to the earthwork in the entry reads: 'Extensive linear features in field to SW visible in aerial photograph (Dr D.D.C. Pochin Mould, March 1998).'
