The National Monuments Service's description

Ruined 2-storey house, over basement. Late 18th/early 19th-century house survives to rear of new front elevation added in 1871 by Webb (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 4, 161). Rear elevation (W) of 5 bays, 2-storey over basement, central porch entrance with central stairway window overhead. Gable-ended with chimneys atop gables. Slightly lower 2-bay 2-storey over basement extensions on both gable ends, extension to N gable-ended with massive chimney stack atop gable; S extension hipped with S elevation encased by plaster facade with 2-storey bay window added when new front erected. Almost entire entrance front (E) of original house and extensions are hidden behind the 1871 addition: 2-storey over basement, 7-bay, ornamented with heavy plaster work including window surrounds, parapet, porch, quoins and string course and channelled rustication at ground-floor level. Central porch entrance with tripartite window overhead, round-headed windows on ground floor. Side elevations 1 bay deep.
