In tillage, on SSE-facing slope, overlooking Blackwater River to S. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842, 1905 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps; interior planted on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Slight rise visible in area of site; according to local information levelled c. 1950s. Circular enclosure visible as soilmark in ploughed field from high ground to S of Blackwater River. Fosse visible as cropmark in aerial photograph (CASAP).
