The National Monuments Service's description

In level scrubland, recently planted with trees. A layer (L c. 6m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil has been exposed in the sides and base of a NE-SW forest drain. The layer is c. 0.15-0.2m below present ground level. A burnt mound (CO032-239001-) lies c. 45m to the NNW and a possible burnt mound (CO032-239003-) lies c. 45m to the NNE.
