The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on barely discernible platform (c. 28m E-W). The platform is indicated on the First Edition of the OS maps as a hachured enclosure. Irregular spread of burnt material (11m N-S; 9m E-W). Probably the levelled fulacht fiadh recorded on P. O'Callaghan's land by Bowman (1934, 26). Enclosure (CO026-273----) lies just over 113m to the SW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
