The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on brow of hill. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; lime kiln shown in area of NW bank on 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; arc formed by low rise visible NNE->SSE. Immediately outside line of enclosure to NNE is spread (11m x 4m) of charcoal and some burnt stones. No visible surface trace of lime kiln noted. Upstanding circular enclosure visible in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W409, 03-07-1975). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 63) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 41yd) on Mrs. Cronin's land.
