The National Monuments Service's description
Bowman (1934, 210) recorded tradition of church site and burial ground on fort in P. J. O'Callaghan's land. Within possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (13901). No visible surface trace of burial markers noted. Bowman (ibid.) also mentions disused road named 'Robber's Lane' leading to church site; may be narrow laneway depicted as respecting W side of enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map.
