The National Monuments Service's description

In reclaimed pasture, formerly boggy ground. Spread of burnt material (14m NE-SW; c. 10m NW-SE); burnt material visible in drain to W. According to local information, wooden trough uncovered during levelling of mound in 1989. One oak timber (L 1.95m; Wth 0.6m; T 0.5m) was retrieved.
