The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture. Depicted as semicircular curve (SE->NW) in field boundary on 1938 OS 6-inch map. Circular area (33m E-W; 32m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.5m) E->W; scarp (H 0.4m) W->E. Bank incorporated into field boundary system; slightly altered on SW side to form straight line. South half of interior planted with mature evergreen trees. No visible surface trace of limekiln depicted at NE side of site on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 300) as single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 35yd; bank H c. 5ft) with about 'one-sixth of the circuit...levelled'; disused limekiln on NE side.
