The National Monuments Service's description

Built in depression. Random-rubble sandstone front wall retains earthen core, side wall collapsed. Front wall (H 3.2m; Wth c. 7m) faces S; arched recess (H 1.2m; Wth 3.1m; D c. 3m) with small holes along top of side walls to support centring of arch, sloping slabs at rear with ope at base. Partially infilled limestone-lined funnel (diam. 2.5m).
