The National Monuments Service's description
On W bank of Araglin River, immediately upstream of confluence with Douglas River; Fleetwood Mill (Woollen) (15238) c. 200m to NE. Three-storey, rectangular mill (long axis E-W), 14 bays long, of rendered random-rubble sandstone construction. Mill now used as a chicken house, access to interior not gained; according to owner, cleared of machinery and woollen material in 1970s. Wheel-pit alongside E gable. Four-bay, 2-storey, gable-ended mill house to N; grain-drying kiln-tiles used for path in garden of house came from Maryville Mill (15217). Entrance piers to SW originally arched and, according to owner, had date-stone and name plaque. Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map as 'Woollen Factory', and on 1903 OS 6-inch map as 'Araglin Mill (Woollen)'. Millrace indicated on 1903 OS 6-inch map taken from Douglas River c. 200m to N, and weir across Araglin River to E, feeding second millrace running along E side of mill.
