In pasture, overlooking Funshion River to N. Similar style to Manning House (14915) across river to N. Two-storey gable-ended late 17th/early 18th-century rectangular house (14.42m N-S; 6.54m E-W)- only section to survive are both gables and short returns of side walls. Random-rubble limestone construction, some rendering evident. Short returns of front elevation (E) have sides of ground and 1st-floor windows (H c. 2m); front probably originally 5 bays wide. North gable has externally projecting chimney (Wth 2.9m) stack, which begins to gather inwards 2.75m above ground level, and further rises as slim shaft (0.75m x 0.75m). Internal N elevation has central ground and 1st-floor fireplace. Ground and 1st-floor fireplaces in S gable, in shallow internally projecting chimney stack. Ground and 1st-floor marked by lines of joist holes along front and back walls. Grove White (1905-25, vol. 3, 130) was informed locally that it was formerly known as 'Manor House' and was never finished as local farmer, who was removing stones, became ill. Site of Manor mill (15239) to N.
