The National Monuments Service's description
On N-facing slope of low hillock in area of rough pasture, monument is ruined and very overgrown. Remains comprise short gallery (L 2.9m; Wth 0.85m at W, 1.1m at E end), aligned ENE-WSW, represented by three sidestones to N, two to S and fallen E end stone. Single facade stone stands 1m W of gallery, S of gallery opening, and behind it to E is outer-wall stone. Slight traces of mound are evident around structure. Early account (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 3, 129) records destruction of former roofstone. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1982, 2, no. 2)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
