Slightly hump-backed road bridge (long axis E-W) over Awbeg River and mill race for corn mill (15202), at E side of Castletownroche. Three arches of medieval bridge (Wth 3.5m) survive at W end of upstream side. Central pointed segmental arch (span 3m) with rough long voussoirs, arch on E side replaced with modern flat arch in 1990, flat segmental arch (span c. 3m) on W side with rough voussoirs. Piers vary in thickness from 2m->3m. Bridge widened on downstream (S) side by c. 4m with segmental arches, dressed voussoirs. When bridge widened, the east end of bridge was replaced with two segmental arches (span 6m and 2m) inserted over millrace of corn mill in early-19th century, larger arch over mill race fed by weir built diagonally across river on upstream side. Coursed ashlar parapet throughout with overhanging limestone coping, tied together with iron bars. Pointed segmental arch similar to those at Buttevant bridge (14811) which O'Keeffe and Simington (1991, 144) dated to 13th century. Bridge depicted on Down Survey (1655-6) barony map.
