The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, atop hillock. Depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as hachured roughly circular area (diam. c. 50m), open to W, with hachured arms extending outward joining enclosure to roadside fence c. 30m to W; as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 30m) on 1905 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Slightly oval-shaped raised area (29m E-W; 27m N-S) defined by scarp (H 1.2m) ESE->NE; earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.6m) elsewhere. Low bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.9m) outside scarp on W side. Interior grass covered; once planted with trees, some of which survive; shallow depression (diam. 1m) in NE quadrant.
