The National Monuments Service's description
In tillage, on NE-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1842, 1905 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Circular, slightly raised area (23m E-W; 19.2m N-S) enclosed by low, grass-covered, earthen bank SW->N and E->SE; scarp N->E. Field boundary, extending E-W, appears to truncate S side of enclosure. Saucer-shaped interior slopes down to NE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
