On N bank of Ketragh River. Small ruined rectangular 2-storey mill (int.: 5.7m N-S; 4.45m E-W) built of random-rubble limestone. North end overgrown; low gable on S wall. Shallow wheel-pit (Wth 1.5m; D 0.8m) alongside S elevation probably housed undershot waterwheel. Overgrown remains of addition at S end of W wall. Shallow wet earth-cut channel which encloses structure on W, N and E sides is possibly remains of millrace associated with a structures to N which does not survive. Bowman (1934, 38) recorded ruins of grinding and tuck mills here which had not been used since The Famine. Down Survey (1655-6) barony map shows a mill here, and a 'Tuck Mill' a short distance to W. The 1842 OS 6-inch map shows present structure and two larger structures (long axes N-S) to N, and names complex 'Castlemagner Mill'. Larger structures not shown on 1905 OS 6-inch map.
