The National Monuments Service's description

Built against N face of quarry, on Castlecor (14868) demesne. Overgrown tall random-rubble limestone walls encase earthen core. Front elevation faces S; stone-arched recess (H 2.5m; Wth 2.8m; D 3m) with lower inner arch supported by lintel; remains of sloping slabs at rear. Top of kiln overgrown, funnel (diam. c. 3m) visible from recess; base brick lined; upper levels stone lined.
