The National Monuments Service's description
On level ground, on W bank of stream. Rectangular area (45m NE-SW; 41m NW-SE) defined by low earthen bank along N half of NE side, by scarp (H 2m) on SE side, by earthen bank (int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1.5m) on SW side; bank levelled on NW side. Stream forms fosse on NE and SE sides. Interior level, with rise up to E and S corners. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 420) as single-ramparted 'square fort, each side being 50 yards' on Mr Dennehy's land.
