The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular raised area (37m E-W; 36m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.1m). Bank overgrown with trees and briars. Entrance (wth 5.5m) to ESE formed by most southerly bank end curving inwards as if to overlap with most northerly bank end; some stone facing noted here. Bowman (1934, 186) describes fort on C. Daly's land as 'single-ramparted. Fosse 10ft wide. 2ft deep. Rampart varies from 4 to 6ft'.
