In rough pasture, on gentle E-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map; shown as part of field fence system W->S on 1904 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps; levelled to NE on 1937 OS 6-inch map. Circular area (32.5m E-W; 30.5m N-S) defined by scarp (H 0.85m) NE->W; earthen bank (max. int. H 0.8m; max. ext. H 0.75m) W->N. Approx 6m beyond scarp to S and W is field boundary (H 1.3m) respecting site. Interior covered in long grass and thistles. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 513) as levelled single-ramparted fort on J. Linehan's land.
