Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on gentle W-facing slope. Removed, no visible surface trace. Probably one of four standing stones (10075, 10077, 10078) recorded by Bowman (1934, 480) on R. Sheehan's land: stone (a) 3ft 3in by 8ft 9in girth; stone (b) 2ft 11in by 7ft 3in girth; stone (c) 3ft 8in by 2ft 2in by 1ft 8in; stone (d) probably located (10075).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
