The National Monuments Service's description
Random-rubble front wall (H 4.1m; Wth 3.2m) faces E with arched recess (H 1.84m; D 1.75m), corbelled to rear. Ledge over recess to support lean-to. Beaker-shaped stone-lined funnel (diam. at top c. 1.3m); built using a local stone known as 'firestone'. According to landowner, built in about 2 weeks in 1934 and used only three times.
