In centre of graveyard (14539). Ruinous rectangular church (int. 16.7m E-W; int. 5.43m N-S). East gable has central straight-set window embrasure (Wth 1.42m) covered by flat arch with lintel; light missing. Lintelled wall press (0.46m x 0.7m) towards S end of E wall. South wall survives best in centre (H c. 3m); E end (L 5.5m) missing; W end is low (H c. 1.5m) and ivy clad, apart from gap immediately W of centre where foundation courses alone survive. Short return of N wall at NE corner; low (H c. 1m) and ivy clad elsewhere apart from length preserved to full height (L c. 8.5m) in centre of wall. West gable is low (H c. 1m) and ivy clad, external face collapsed. Carved head in relief on projecting corbel at top of SE corner, described by Buckley (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 1, 156-7) as 'a female face ... said to represent St Catherine'. Parish church of Ballydeloughy; reported 'in repair' in 1615, abandoned by 1694 (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 34, 68); a church here listed in Papal Taxation of 1291 (ibid.).
