The National Monuments Service's description

Approached from road c. 70m to E. Irregular graveyard (max. 60m WSW-ENE; max. 60m NNW-SSE), enclosed by stone wall; entered via stile to E. Ruin of parish church of Derryvillane (14416) in centre. Area to E, N and W of church inaccessible due to dense overgrowth but gravemarkers concentrated here. Marked burials to S of church mostly 19th century, including canopy tomb of 1883; earliest headstone noted dated 1780, just S of church. Southern third of graveyard has no evident gravemarkers.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
