The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular raised area (37m N-S; 36.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.2m; ext. H 2m) WNW->ESE; scarp with slight internal lip elsewhere. External fosse survives SSE->NW; flooded. Break in bank to N. On 1935 OS 6-inch map flooded or waterlogged fosse depicted all round except for break to N.
