The National Monuments Service's description

Depicted as hachured square enclosure (c. 30m N-S; c. 30m E-W) on 1842, 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Levelled; no visible surface trace. According to local information, enclosure was square. Roughly square enclosure visible in aerial photograph (GSIAP, R640; May 1977) as soilmark of recently levelled bank.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
